Robin’s Song
Robin’s Song
Cheer-i-ly! Cheer-i-ly! Cheer-i-ly!
Hear me sing? To the sky? From the tree?
Every day, I greet the sun.
Every day, skipping none.
Rising first,
I sing my song
Lifting
You.
Today I wanted to write a simpler poem. Did you notice that it’s an acrostic poem?

Fun poem, Liz–I didn’t notice the acrostic on first read but once I read your mention of it, it popped out.
Very clever! I like it.
Beautifully done. Thanks so much for your daily “lifts” for us.
You’ve captured it well, Liz. I love waking up to that. You’re right “Every day, skipping none.”
I didn’t notice it was an acrostic, but it is a sweet one. Thanks for sharing.
There’s nothing like a robin’s song to start the day off right! Your poem lifted me up for sure. 🙂
You’ve captured the lilting lyrics of the robin’s song perfectly, Liz. I did not see the acrostic until you pointed it out – brilliant! = )
