Hey Liz,
It was great to meet you in person at the workshop.
I love what you have done with this metaphor. Great picture too.
Thanks for this post. What fun.
I hope we can all do the poetry party again next May.
Joy,
It was great to meet you too. Thanks for stopping by and commenting. It’s a great way to stay in touch until next May.

Hi, Liz! Count me in the camp of “thrilled to meet you in person” at the workshop. And I really enjoyed our newt-laden hike.
What a great poem – “blasted birth of all” is full of weight and meaning. (And really fun to say!)
Moon as belly button? It really IS like that, isn’t it? I’ll definitely think of this poem next time I look at the moon!
I made a list of 20 possible moon metaphors. Belly button was number 20! Happy to hear you think it will stay with you.

As I’ve said to Heidi and Robyn — I’m JEALOUS!
Someday my turn will come…
Yes, when you get the chance, take it!

Lovely new (to me) perspective on the moon! That’s what you get with retreats like yours – so fabulous!
It was such a special treat to be there. I just noticed there’s a “treat” in “retreat.”
